About the role
Role and Responsibilities
Monitor and report on service delivery metrics and overall performance
Maintain relationships with technical teams and AZ stakeholders & business partners. Communicate on major service issues and address escalations.
Manage service delivery functional teams and individual objectives, performance and development.
Advocate the use of effective measures in demand and risk analysis for proposed service changes
Provide insight into developing solutions for any service changes
Coordinating with different teams / stakeholders to ensure any major incidents are led professionally
Building and maintaining internal and external relationships and services
Reporting on process improvements, team performance and agreed service levels
Determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule.
Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Make adjustments as necessary.
Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members.
Maintain relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations. Maintain relationships with all stakeholders. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract.
Review and manage all changes to the requirements through a formally defined scope change process.
Lead monthly governance meetings. Represent the functional team at client meetings and governance meetings.
Provide managerial guidance and oversight to the daily operations and execution of the GCO Content Centre Service Tower, including:
Acting as a subject matter expert for team members, teaching and coaching key skill development, problem solving and critical thinking abilities across the team.
Providing clear day-to-day operating instructions and guidance for the team.
Handling workloads to ensure even distribution of responsibilities and development opportunities.
Handling numerous, often complex, projects requiring high-level capabilities with minimal supervision.
Balancing shift-work as need to support the multiple time zone requirements from customers.
Handling overtime, evening, or weekend hours as needed during times of extreme business need.
Ensuring completion of time and expense reports for self and team members per AstraZeneca policies.
Ensuring all operational reporting statistics and metrics for the team, ensuring delivery against business critical performance measures.
Conducting all aspects of the human resources processes, including development of annual objectives, performance appraisals, individual development plans, and career counseling and coaching feedback for continuous improvement.
Ensuring the unit is a GPTW and is able to absorb and actively participate in stretch assignment also including, but not limited to employee engagement, sustainability etc.,
Ensuring completion of all services in accordance with global compliance and market legal and regulatory requirements and within GCO budget guidelines.

Essential Skills and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
8-12+ years experience working in Sales, Marketing, Business Service Delivery, or Business Process Outsourcing, preferably in Life Sciences Industry.
10+ years of leadership experience, preferably leading, handling and developing large teams of professionals.
7-10+ years of experience in multi geography customer facing operations environment.
Experience of working with multiple 3rd party providers, including information technology partners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience building trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Proven cross-functional collaboration skills across organizations, functions, and markets is preferred.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Proven ability to learn in a rapidly evolving environment. Ability to grasp and understand new technology and concepts quickly and readily apply learnings.
Experience working in globally distributed team.

Desirable Skills and experience
Significant experience of local and/or Global Brand Marketing experience.
Health Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industry experience.
Digital Marketing experience.
Supplier Management experience.
Managing and driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Talent management and developing others.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and negotiating skills.
Consistent track record working cross functionally with high level of commitment and follow through.
Business outsourcing process experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
