Opportunities to develop and implement brand strategies, marketing and promotional campaigns, market access and patient services programs, and support medical and policy program development and other critical needs are being identified across our global and local marketing company teams.

Individuals with demonstrated commercial success (marketing, sales, and market access/policy development), global and local launch experience, and vaccines/infectious disease backgrounds will be the foundation of our capability builds. Additional required experience includes knowledge across a broad base of external customers and stakeholders, effective cross-functional project team leadership, and generating commitment among stakeholders and deliver effective commercial strategies.

The role is based in Wilmington, DE.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with the Associate Directors and Directors to define and facilitate development of the brand's promotional plan and programs and ensure their consistency with brand strategy
  • Support the tactical delivery of the commercial brand strategy and positioning for COVID-19 products, including branded and unbranded campaign delivery to achieve patient and business goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the annual brand strategic planning process by crafting the tactical plan
  • Manage agencies in development of brand messaging and execution
  • Liaison with global commercial learning and innovation to develop global training materials
  • Support local marketing company execution
  • Partner with Business Insights team and external partners to define success metrics and analyze performance of marketing programs on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage promotional budget associated with brand marketing activities
  • Manage regulatory and legal review and approval process for key tactics and promotional assets
  • Support and participate in team activities to build a positive work culture


Essential for the role
  • Bachelor's degree is required with scientific experience
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare related experience OR 3+ years of marketing experience and 1+ year in pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong tactical and implementation experience.
  • Local market product launch experience.
  • Demonstrated influencing skills and partner management
  • Experienced and comfortable working in a matrix environment
  • Understanding of, and adaptable to, working across different countries and cultures
  • Experience managing and engaging with teams remotely
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, demonstrating flexibility and a proven ability to deal with complexity under high intensity and time pressure situations
  • Experience and effectiveness in the presentation of written and verbal business cases to the senior management
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • A flexible, team orientated attitude, willing to contribute one's own skills to deliver AZ priority projects


Desirable for the role
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
